Polish Classical Piano Soloist Piotr and Rolo together on this project. Having spent some time working with traditional sounding instrementation they took a walk during which they realised that they needed to work in a new direction. The inspiration was the aggresive graffiti on the trees of the park, fused with the relentless rising of the city and its occupants. Birds, passenger planes, snarling motorbikes, cars, people, insects all joining one by one into the growing cacophony. All with disregard for the peace of the interrupted night. An insect shreiking as they walked by, distubing its small enviroment began the idea. They wished to find sound conveyimg that tiny creatures anger. Sound that matched the slow ominous build up, the continual irritation felt at the affront of these everyday sounds. The urban destruction of the Night. |
